Organic Clothing

Why organic clothing ? We are not just talking about safeguarding the environment but also safeguarding your little ones.

The conventional cotton is one of the most chemically-dependent crops, accounting for 10% of all agricultural chemicals and 25% of all pesticide use. These chemicals are taking a toll on both our environment as well as the human health. Organic cotton, on the other hand, is grown without pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, chemical fertilizers or any other chemicals.

Considering the amount of chemicals used in the conventional cotton, would you want your child to be exposed to these chemicals at such a young age? It is of course, not good for any human, be it young or old, but is even more detrimental to a young child who is at the development stage.

A point to note though, organic child clothing is more expensive than the normal clothing. This is due to the fact that organic cotton is more expensive to grow, to harvest (without chemical harvest-aids), to manufacture (low quantities) right up to shipping and marketing.

Organic clothes is softer and easier on the skin, without any chemicals that might disagree with your skin. This extra comfort is worth considering despite the heavier toll it has on your pocket.
